Deep Dive
Daniel's Musical Roots and Philosophy
Daniel grew up in a Christian family and began making music in church at age 5 or 6, standing by the drum kit and gradually learning instruments. Now 29, he describes music as being born within him rather than something he chose. His early church exposure shaped his entire artistic identity. When asked about idols, he deflects from celebrity worship and attributes his purpose to God and Jesus, though he does admire musicians like Thales Roberto from his home region of Minas Gerais and Eli Soares as complete musicians and producers. His musical preferences lean entirely toward Brazilian gospel rather than international English-language Christian music, though he acknowledges that translated American hymns are regularly sung in churches. This Brazilian-centered approach reflects his belief that music born locally carries more authenticity.
Ritmar School and Teaching Philosophy
Daniel and his colleague Gustavo run Ritmar Escola de Música in Aparecida, Goiânia, located on Avenida Independência near the Bretas supermarket. The school teaches guitar, keyboard, guitar, drums, bass, and other instruments to students starting at age 4. Both Daniel and Gustavo, who is 23 and serves as both teacher and pedagogical coordinator, operate on a mission-driven model focused on helping students achieve dreams of learning to sing and play. The school is Christian-rooted but accepts non-Christian students and teaches secular songs like sertanejo alongside gospel, with the criterion being whether the music elevates the spirit. Contact number is 62 9240-7711. Daniel also provides vocal coaching to singers beyond the school itself.
The Emotional Power of Gospel Music
When asked what makes gospel music so emotionally moving, Daniel explains that he believes the Holy Spirit's presence inhabits gospel songs, which is why listeners feel welcomed and experience peace. Gustavo adds a musical theory observation: he notices that every gospel song that moves him begins in a minor chord. The host demonstrates this by having Gustavo play a G major chord, which sounds happy, then a G minor chord, which immediately conveys melancholy and spiritual depth. Gustavo confirms this is a teaching principle he uses in lessons to explain how minor chords create a sense of downward movement and melancholic, spiritual mood. This technical observation aligns with emotional testimony—the structure of minor tonality itself may explain why gospel resonates spiritually.
New Music Releases and Live Events
Daniel has written three songs performed during this episode: Hoje Você Vai Sorrir (Today You Will Smile), Foi na Cruz (It Was on the Cross), and a healing-themed piece called Confio em Ti (I Trust in You). Hoje Você Vai Sorrir is being released this month and was born from a moment when Daniel felt uncertainty and believed God answered his prayer through musical inspiration. Foi na Cruz will release in July as part of a planned five-song series rolling out monthly through November across Spotify, YouTube, and all digital platforms. Beyond the TV appearance, Daniel will headline a Ritmar student recital on June 26 at the Assembleia Legislativa at 7 PM with approximately 120 students performing under his and Gustavo's direction—free admission, wristbands available via the school's Instagram @ritmarescoladomusica. He's also scheduled to perform at a gospel day event in Pontalina on July 14 at the Pecuária de Pontalina fairgrounds.
Church Community and Support Network
Daniel recently joined the Fome e Sede church in Aparecida de Goiânia, having previously attended Assembleia de Deus. He came into this television appearance through Deputy Quirino, a pastor and politician who discovered Ritmar and became a strong supporter of the school's evangelistic music mission. Deputy Quirino invited Daniel to the program, and the appearance was rescheduled once but ultimately succeeded. Daniel views these opportunities as divine providence rather than accident. His digital presence includes Instagram handle @danielluveoficial for his personal music, with Gustavo reachable at @gugavas. The Ritmar school account is @ritmarescoladomusica. All contact details were broadcast for interested students.
